OUR Horses

We raise & train ranch horses because we Love, Need and Ride ranch horses.

With decades of experience on rugged Patagonian ranches, we bring proven, rational horse training to the San Juan Mountains near Pagosa Springs. Ranch horses are our passion—we train both horse and rider to build trust, skill, and true horsemanship for life on the range.

About Our HORSES

Ginger

Ginger is 9 years old and one of our favorite horses. She helps train the younger ones as she shows them how to cross creeks, go into the deep woods and not be afraid of the ranch life.

Zelda

Zelda is 2 years old and has had 6 months of intense training.  She is ready for riders that want speed, agility and responsiveness.  She can work cows, trails and has a great galop. As she matures she will be a great family horse and able to work all the different terrain around Pagosa.

Lou

Lou is a sweet, reliable mare who’s a fantastic addition to any trail or ranch crew. Around 15 years old (vet estimated), she’s a steady follower who truly shines in group rides—calm, willing, and happy to be part of the herd. She’s an easy keeper with experience in ranch chores like working cows, fixing fence, and navigating all kinds of terrain—mud, snow, rain, and dry ground don’t slow her down. Lou is best suited for intermediate riders when riding solo, but she’s relaxed and easygoing on group rides. She does not like to be left behind or work alone as much. While she’s not registered, she’s full of heart and a ton of fun to have around. We’re sad to see her go, but excited for her next adventure.

Spartan

Looking for a young, solid prospect with a great start? This handsome registered Quarter Horse just turned 2 and already has 5 months of professional training with the Ronaldo Pucci under his belt. He’s easy to ride, incredibly willing, and picks up new tasks like a pro. No buck, no kick, no bad habits—just a smart, steady partner in the making. He saddles, uses a bosal, and has already been exposed to mountains, ranch work, and snow. With his calm demeanor and strong foundation, he’s ready to grow into an exceptional ranch horse. Don’t miss out on this versatile, well-started gelding with tons of potential!
